Getting Started with MIE

Creating an Account

Creating a user account in Impact is the first step to unlocking the full suite of event planning tools designed to streamline your experience. By registering, you gain access to personalized features that allow you to manage events, assign tasks, communicate with your team, and track progress in one centralized platform. Setting up your account is quick and secure, ensuring that your event details remain organized and easily accessible whenever you need them.

  1. Log onto the www.myimpactevents.com.

  2. Click the Sign Up hyperlink.

  3. Complete the required information on the log in screen:

    • Email address

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Cell number

    • Password

  4. Select the checkbox to accept the terms of use and privacy policy. 

  5. To complete creating an account click [Register].

Event Planner

Events

Creating an Event

Start planning by creating your event in the Impact App. Just enter the event name, date, location, and key details to unlock tools for managing tasks, team members, guests, and your budget—all in one place. It’s a simple first step to seamless, organized planning.

  1. Log into the www.myimpactevents.com.

  2. On the top right of the event management screen, click the [Add Event] button.

  3. Enter the event’s details:

    • Event title

    • Description

    • Venue name, if you don’t have one write TBD

    • Venue address details

    • Select a category for the event, like reunion, wedding, conference, etc

    • Enter a start and stop date and time

  4. To save your event click the [Add Event] button.

Understanding Event Activities

In the Impact App, activities are sub-events within your main event such as a training session during a conference that may require separate RSVPs, unique details, and their own distinct attendee list. Creating an activity is similar to creating an event, but it automatically inherits key information like the main event’s location and time, making setup faster and more consistent. Activities help streamline your schedule and increase attendee engagement directly within Impact.

Assigning Members to your Impact Event

To assign a team member to your Impact Event, follow the steps below. Once added, the team member will receive a confirmation email prompting them to verify their access. This ensures they are properly connected to your Impact Event and can begin supporting your planning process.

  1. Log into the www.myimpactevents.com.

  2. Click on the event name hyperlink.

  3. On the top horizontal toolbar, click [Add Team Member].

  4. Enter the team member’s contact information:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Cell (phone) number

    • Select a strong default password

  5. To save your event click the [Add Event] button.

Conference Break Time

Event Tasks

The Tasks feature in Impact allows you to professionally manage your event planning workflow by creating and assigning individual tasks. This function enables you to manually track what needs to be done, when it needs to be completed, and who is responsible for each action item. Whether you're coordinating vendors, managing deadlines, or organizing internal responsibilities, the Tasks feature helps ensure nothing falls through the cracks during the planning of your Impact Event.

Creating a New Task

  1. Log into the www.myimpactevents.com.

  2. Click on the event name hyperlink.

  3. On the top horizontal toolbar, click [Project Tasks].

  4. On the top horizontal toolbar, click [Add Task].

  5. Enter the team member’s contact information:

    • Task title

    • Due date

    • Task status: To do, In progress,  or Completed

    • To assign a team member to this task, Member click the + 

    • Enter a description or instructions for this task

    • Add additional notes

  6. To save your task click the [Save] button.
